today,or should i say yesterday(since it's already 1.47am)
i went to SAE!
and that is,School of Audio Engineering!:D:D
they had this thing called "study with SAE for a day"
there was film-making or audio engineering.
CLEARLY,I WENT FOR AUDIO ENGINEERING!
haha.
so i came with my dad.
then met this guy called sufian.
kwang2.
he was an ex-student at SAE and now working there.
so he was talking and my ears opened really big when he said:
you know right,ppl come here to record their school songs,audio engineers make up sound perfect and *boom* 5000 BUCKS IN YOUR HAND!
clearly i went WHAT?!
haha.
nah,but it aint abt the cash.
it's abt the passion.
uhh.
there were 2 mat reps:S
but whoa,not bad not bad.

k anyway we went to studio1.
that was the place to do recording.
WHOA,I WAS IN RECORDING STUDIO.
haha.
it was seriously cool.
like,the guitar is plugged in into the computer.
and with this software,u can actually edit the sound of the guitar.
so like,you take any electric guitar,you can have different2 guitar sounds.
cool cool.
then we had to watch this video-clip that had no sound.
so they were gonna put some song into it.
damn cool ok!
sufian plays the guitar pretty well,i must say.
then this guy(uhh,i forgot his name.HECK.) played the drums.
pretty good man!
u can make communication with the person inside(a band,let's say) with the SSL and mixing console outside.
darn it,i'm sure some dunno what i'm talking abt.
haha.
anyway,after mark finished briefing us,it was patrick's turn.
i think patrick's been in the industry way longer.
he's a senior lecturer over at the school anyway.
haha.
so he was telling us abt folly artists.
i'm lazy to elaborate.
so whatever.
there's seriously a million things to audio engineering!!

after everything was explained,we went downstairs to the lecture room.
had some briefing with alex abt the courses,school that they are affiliated to blah blah blah.
the president of the school,TOM MISNER!,has done songs for kylie minogue and many many others,which i currently cannot rmb.
but it's alrite anyway.
after that we went up back again and was shown the other studio.
the SSL there was new!
it cost..uhh....S$150,000.
[faints]
so yeah,the SSL is for you to like to make sure all your sounds,is in proportion.
mixing consoles and so on.
after that everything was summed up and i found one new thing.
I LOVE SAE.
audio engineering is what i really wanna do!
you get to do something you love(MUSIC-MAKING!),get paid,known and respected for it:D
there's nth more i could ask.
imagine one day you pick up a CD and you read the info and then it says "sound designer:ERZA EFIERA RAZAK"
